Randip Singh - CEO and President
Randip - an Engineer and an MBA - is responsible for everything about US Global Mail. He is most passionate about customer service and satisfaction. Prior to US Global Mail, Randip worked for 12 years at the Houston based operations of a large Norwegian company, most recently as CFO. During Randip's time there, he was able to witness first-hand the frustrations of expats with mail management issues. This played a significant role in his taking ownership of US Global Mail and further developing the company's vision of providing seamless mail management services to people relocating overseas. Randip lives in Houston with his wife and two young boys. He enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and adventure racing; and just recently started taking flying lessons. Randip can be reached at randip[at]usglobalmail.com and 281 596 8965 Ext.200

Randip Singh is president and CEO of U.S. Global Mail.
Randip Singh is president and CEO of U.S. Global Mail. Randip Singh is president and CEO of U.S. Global Mail, a Houston-based company that provides worldwide mail and package forwarding, virtual mailboxes, and other such services for individuals, and mail management solutions for corporate relocation clients. USGM started out as a neighborhood postal center in 1998, and has since grown into a state-of-the-art warehouse space that serves expats and international shoppers around the world. When Singh took over the company in 2009, he saw the need to create better efficiencies and offer customers the ability to login to their virtual mailboxes from anywhere in the world. Singh said that when it comes to receiving packages, there are several reasons why their customers have their parcels shipped to USGM instead of shipped directly to them. The main reason, he said, is that there are many online retailers in the U.S. that won't ship packages overseas. "If you're sitting in Angola on assignment and you order from Amazon, Amazon won't ship to Angola. The same is true for stores like Sony and Apple," he said. Another reason that customer have their packages sent to USGM has to do with cost savings. According to Singh, USGM can save people shipping costs because they are able to consolidate several packages into one package, which means customers only have to pay for a single package as opposed to several if there are more than one to be shipped. "People ship it all to their address here and we repack all the boxes into one and ship it to them, so it is more cost efficient. Any time something has to be shipped overseas, it always goes by volume if it's going air freight, so you want the volume to be as low as possible," he said. The services offered by USGM are also valuable to people who are moving domestically, including into and/or out of the Houston area. "The beauty of our system is that it's one address, unlimited moves. You can keep this address and move 15 times in two years. In fact, a lot of people who come back from overseas assignments just keep it," Singh said. He added that USGM makes sense in Houston, since Houston is home to some of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, and those companies tend to relocate a relatively high volume of their workforce. Singh said that USGM has a growing number of customers who have opted for their services as a way of protecting themselves against mail fraud and identity theft. He said that having a virtual mailbox can lessen the vulnerability and the likelihood of falling victim to such crimes.
