Dr. Ramnath Narayanswamy As a professor of Economics and Social Sciences in the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, Ramnath's interests include Business & Society, Economic Reforms in Transition Economies, Spirituality & Self Development, and Entrepreneurship in the Creative Sector, Outsourcing and Creative Thinking and Innovation. He was Visiting Research Fellow in the Center for Russian and East European Studies of the University of Birmingham (supported by the Rockefeller Foundation) and was Reader in the Center of Eurasian Studies of the University of Bombay. He was also invited by the German Foreign Ministry to do a study on The Indian Response to Perestroika 1985-1990, (supported by a grant from the Volkswagen Foundation) which was subsequently published by the Federal Institute of East European Studies in Cologne. Ramnath was Visiting Professor in the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme in Paris, the Federal Institute of East European and International Studies in Cologne, McGill University in Canada, The Management School, Lancaster and HEC Montreal. He also holds a Visiting Professorship at Nyenrode University in the Netherlands. He is a Research Associate of the Chair in Ethical Management at HEC Montreal. He is part of a worldwide research initiative on Integral Leadership profiling the lives of one hundred leaders supported by the Chair. After securing a First Class First in Political Science from the University of Pune, he shifted to political economy and area studies. Combining Economics, Political Science and Sociology, he secured his doctorate from the School for Advanced Studies in Social Sciences, in Paris.
