[Amman, July 2011] As part of the Bank of Jordan's community outreach tours, a group of its employees, headed by Rami Malki, the Bank's Marketing and Public Relations Manager, traveled to Al Karak, visiting local community centers and associations along the way.
This requires a recognition of our collective responsibility and a genuine will to bring about changes that empower people to their fullest potential," said Malki. As part of their tour, Bank employees spoke with young women working in a variety of crafts-based and homemade produce lines, learning of their challenges and exploring various ways of sustainably supporting their efforts to be productive members of their communities. "As one of the biggest banks in the Kingdom today, Bank of Jordan is committed to its role of sustainably reaching out and supporting local grass root organizations and to creating spaces for discussion and interaction between the private sector and local communities," Malki added.
