Ralph Hester, operator of the IHRA-sanctioned Immokalee Regional Raceway in southwestern Florida, was pleased with the turnout for last weekend's Summit Pro-Am Series presented by AMSOIL season opener.
The doubleheader weekend meet kicked off both Immokalee's 2015 season as well as the IHRA Summit Pro-Am Series presented by AMSOIL campaign.

As a way to thank the racers for their support, Hester
son Thomas, the track manager, throw a party on Saturday night each year of the event.
â€œWe started racing on Saturday and at the end of the night we had a racer party.
We fed everyone, about 450 people.
We had Spanish food, chicken, corn on the cob.
We had a big time and we do that every year for them,â€� Hester
Famous for its racer hospitality, great racing and exciting racer parties, Ralph Hester's
Immokalee Regional Raceway will once again host the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour season opener the weekend of February 6-8 with a Wild Card race open to racers of all divisions.
For those not able to make the trip to sunny Florida, IHRA
and Summit Racing Equipment have again teamed up to fund the live webcast coverage of all Summit Pro Am tour events this season.
Home viewers can click on the "Live Webcast" button on ihra.com homepage starting Friday.

The Summit Pro-Am Tour season opener at Immokalee Regional Raceway will take place February 6-8 with the first winners of the young season putting themselves in the driver's seat toward a World Championship later in the year.
With valuable Pro-Am points on the line, a fun racer party, warm weather and a great race to open the season, Ralph Hester
and the rest of the Immokalee team look forward to welcoming racers back to the track in February.

once again didn't cut no corners with a feast of Steak and Shrimp fit for a King along with very generous awards and once again paying out the big bucks to class winners.

with a little something from all the racers at Immokalee.

own Iron Man trophy along with a Team plaque and many pictures to decorate his
office wall along with the remaining cash from team member donations to help with some of the hurricane damage.

is (along with help from his
racers/family and friends) rebuilding it in a rather quick two week time frame.

...Saturday I.H.R.A. held it's 34th Annual Hooters I.H.R.A Drag Racing Series points banquet in Covington, Kentucky where Immokalee Regional Raceways Owner/Operator Ralph Hester was named Track Promoter of the year.This prestigious award was given to Hester who was the most deserving out of 97 I.H.R.A. sanctioned tracks.

staff did an outstanding job promoting the race and providing leisure activities for the racers.Shuttle busses took racers to the nearby Seminole Casino in downtown Immokalee
, where according the Hester, "racers ate for free and had a great time gaming.There wasn't an empty seat or gaming station at the casino Saturday night.I know the added promotion by the Seminole Casino
staff added to the excitement and success of the event.
"The casino is constantly looking for ways to promote the City of Immokalee; they were impressed with their first experience with IHRA
and our racers," explained Hester
."I'm looking to build tourism in our area and the racer/casino partnership is a great start." "Ralph and his team did a magnificent job promoting the race to spectators and taking care of our racers," commented IHRA Director of Track Services Tom Kreager, who attended the event first-hand.
"I made sure I spoke with every racer and told them how much I appreciated them coming to race," explained Hester

Immokalee Regional Raceway will once again host the first major Summit Racing Pro-Am Tour event of the season, as track owner Ralph Hester and the Immokalee staff greet racers from across the United States during the early-season test at the south Florida track.
Immokalee Regional Raceway will hos two Wild Card points-claiming events on Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8.
