...Pris brings graphic design experience and an art background to her classes in basic design and lettering for the rug hooker.She was a folk art painter of Southern genre and today has expanded her expertise into realistic painting.
In 1999, she
issued a catalog and jumped into the rug hooking world with both feet.She
has written 2 books on Lettering and Basic Design Techniques for the rug hooker.She
has won several entries in Rug Hooking Magazine's Celebrations for her
rugs and either has been written about or been mentioned in numerous articles in RHM.She is a member of the Dogwood Chapter of ATHA in Atlanta, the McGown Guild through Southern Belles and St. Simon Island Rug Hookers.Her
classes take the rug hooker from the inception of their own pattern design to the color planning and hooking of their design while in class.Questions can be directed to Pris Buttler
