On December 5, while Prof. Joshi
was out of Delhi on tour, his
office received a letter from the Human Resource Development Ministry.Signed by a Director level official, it informed him that his
services had been terminated with "immediate effect". Prof. Joshi
was stunned.The letter did not ascribe any reason for his
had been appointed in only March this year.During his eight-and-a-half month tenure, he had served NEIPA well.
