Nursing and Health Care Worker Shortage
During the recent snowstorms JHE was fortunate to have the support and cooperation of staff ensuring no matter how bad the storm , someone would be here to care for our Residents.Over 30 staff members , not scheduled to work , stayed overnight to see that there was sufficient staffing in the morning to provide care. This included not only nursing but also dietary and other disciplines as well. Many worked double shifts in this time of nursing shortage and then went home to rest and came back to work a double again.
