Phyllis Adcock, Mt. Vernon, Illinois has been chosen as the Meritorious Service honoree to be inducted into the Illinois Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 2004.She first bowled in high school gym class in 1955 and didn't bowl again until 1959 and hasn't stopped since. Phyllis
has several championships on the local level as well as participating in many WIBC and IWBA tournaments.She is a certified lane inspector, coach and instructor.She has served her association as Treasurer for 23 years, President for 6 years and Vice President 2 years and when not an officer, she served as a director.Her
local awards include Service Award 1984, Bowler of the Year 1969 and 1976, Hall of Fame, Secretary of the Year 1996 and 1997 and Coach of the Year.She
has bowled in the state Senior Tournament for 8 years.Her
high average is 185, high game 268 and high series 687. Phyllis has been an IWBA Director since 1993.Her committees include: Illinois Delegates Breakfast, IWBA Youth Invitational, Tournament, Chairman of the Joint Senior Tournament for 2 years after serving as co chairman for 2 years.

on the ISYABA Board, she
served on the following committees: Finance and Budget, Ways and Means, Audit and Nominating. Phyllis
husband Ron are noted for their support of bowling and are active on all levels.
