awarded first class Issara Order
(KPL) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 5 October organised a ceremony to confer a first class Issara (freedom) Order and first class Labour medal on Mr. Phongsavath Boupha, Minister to the Presidential Palace in recognition of his more than 30 years of contribution to foreign affairs and Laos's hosting of the 25th SEA Games hosted last year.
Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, representing the government of the Lao PDR, presented the medals to Mr. Phongsavath Boupha.
On this occasion, Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith expressed congratulations and highly valued the contributions made by Mr. Phongsavath Boupha
in the past and present time.
Mr. Phongsavath Boupha has joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1972, starting from a technical official, climbing to Department Director and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
He has been appointed as Minister and Head of the Presidential Palace since 3 September, 2010.
