PhD entitled, 'Narrative Cinema in Cultures of Censorship: Politics, Aesthetics, Memory' at the University of Glasgow
in the Department of Theatre, Film and Television.
This AHRC funded project analyses key films produced in China, Thailand and Iran and explores the often fraught relationship between official history and personal memory.
Philippa has taught widely on Asian cinema at the University of Glasgow and Glasgow School of Art, and has presented her research both nationally and internationally at several conferences.
