Prof Philip Yu-An Ding
Philip Yu-An Ding is Professor of Cardiology and Critical Care Medicine, National Yang-Ming University, Taipei, and past Director of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Taiwan.
Furthermore, he's also a Professor of Law at Institute of Law and Inter-discipline, National Chengchi University, Taipei.
Graduating in 1973 from the National Defense Medical Center
went on to train at the Veterans General Hospital
(VGH) and Tri-Service General Hospital
(TSGH) which were the highest reputation university teaching hospital in Taipei
In 1982 he went to the University of Glasgow, and MRC Blood Pressure Unit, Western Infirmary UK, where he earned his PhD and completed senior registrar training in 1985.
For advancing legal knowledge and per suiting second professions, he studied 3 years at the Institute of Law and Inter-discipline, National Chengchi University, Taipei, and honorable earned his LLM (Master degree of Law) in 2008.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the European Society of Cardiology (FESC).
is also the former Presidents of Taiwan Society of Cardiology, Taiwan Society of Critical Care Medicine, and Taiwan Society of Lipids & Atherosclerosis
In addition, he was former President of the Asian Pacific Society of Heart Failure (APSHF), Chairman of Clinical Cardiology Committee, Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology (APSC), Executive board member of the Asian Pacific Society of Hypertension (APSH).
holds as Executive board member of the Asian-Pacific Society of Atherosclerosis and Vascular Diseases
lectured in many International Congress and Symposium.
He was elected as visiting professor in many international prestigious universities.
main research interests are Hypertension, Atherosclerosis, Cardiovascular Pharmacology and Critical Care Medicine.
published over 285 papers in peer-reviewed journals and over 387 abstracts, contributed to 12 books and 65 other publications.
