...Phil Vallejo has been a percussion writer/arranger for concert and marching percussion for the past 10 years.He began writing for Riverbank High School and Fred C. Beyer High School and has since expanded his responsibilities to writing and arranging for groups all over the state of California.As a writer/ arranger, Phil has many accolades including winning a Gold Medal with the 2003 WGI World Champion percussion ensemble, Clovis East High School.Phil was also the arranger for the Santa Clara Vanguard Bass Drum Ensemble in 1998 when they won their 9th Individual and Ensemble championship.Phil Vallejo

...Phil holds a BA in music education as well as an MA in performance, both from CSU, Fresno.Phil is currently the assistant director of bands at Clovis East High School in Clovis, CA.Phil
is in charge of the Winter Percussion program at Clovis East
and has also been involved with many other winter percussion programs in California including, Clovis High School

has been involved with the Drum Corps activity since 1995.He
started marching with the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets.In 1996 Phil
joined the Santa Clara Vanguard
and would march from 1996 - 1999.After aging out Phil joined the percussion staff of the Santa Clara Vanguard.Directly following his two years with the Vanguard percussion staff Phil was asked to join Blast.Phil was an original cast member for the show Blast II, Shockwave.
After spending a year as the section leader for the percussion section of Shockwave Phil was asked to take over as the percussion caption head for Fever Drum & Bugle Corps
.This year will mark the second year that Phil will be working with GPG Publications.
