Phil Timp, the firm's senior vice president, received the chapter's lifetime achievement award, the only individual recognition bestowed at the event.

Timp, the recipient of the Rod Irvin Excellence in PR Award, is a former vice president for the Tri-Cities Chapter of PRSA and currently serves as a director-at-large for the organization.

Timp joined The Corporate Image in 2002 after award-winning careers in print journalism and telecommunications.
A graduate of Washington & Lee University, he leads a team of 14 employees who work for TCI and/or one of the company's two divisions, Corporate Marketing Group, specializing in marketing and advertising, or Corporate Specialty Group, a promotional products company.
In addition to his
work in the industry, Timp
was also recognized for his
community commitments, including his
leadership of the YMCA Board of Directors, the Bristol Pioneering Healthier Communities movement, a Central Presbyterian Church elder, and the executive director of The Beth Foundation
, a non-profit disabilities organization founded by him and his
wife, Cindy, to provide assistance to children with rare or severe disabilities.
