has been a sports and fitness professional for almost 30 years.
Currently he is the Athletic Director and Chairman of Physical Education at the American Hebrew Academy (the only pluralistic Jewish boarding school in the World) in Greensboro , NC , where he also served as Dean of Students in 2002.
Phil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiologyfrom the University of Maryland and received his Associate of Arts Degree in Recreation and Leadership at Montgomery College (graduating with honors).
He did graduate coursework in education at the George Washington University , and is in the process of earning a Masters degree in Sports Management from High Point University . Previous to his years in athletic administration, Phil served as Director of Employee Fitness for the United States Department of Justice, in Washington D.C. and became Vice President for HealthPro, Inc. where he served as Director of Employee Fitness, for the United States Department of Agriculture, in Beltsville , MD.
volunteered with the President's Council on Physical Fitness
,assessing youth fitness testing protocols and has experience in performing large-scale employee fitness testing and screening programs.
Phil's other accomplishments include developing high school athletic programs and sports camps for start-up,state of the arthigh schools, writing curricula for accreditation, petitioning for, and being granted membership in State
and local athletic associations.
Coach Papier has also won league championships coaching varsity baseball, basketball and soccer at his previous school.
