Today's article by Phil Luciano
is not only riduculous but it's makes no sense.Phil
writes that Chicago, who is bidding for the 2016 Olympic Games, should not get any help what so ever from the State Of Illinois.According to Luciano, who uses the terms "Chicago Mayor Richard Daley first pimped the idea" and "His schemers promised a rosy city-private partnership" seems to be a little confused as to what a "party" is, and what a economic boost that will benifit the State is.
"Some Peorians might get excited about Games so near. But how much is it worth in taxpayer money so you can drive three hours to wait in the world's biggest traffic jam before watching the hammer throw and synchronized swimming?Yippee."Phil
, have you ever taken the time to realize what the Olympics are about?I'm sure the Athetes will appreciate your support.Phil
is trying to make the argument that we as downstate citizens of Illinois, (and yes Phil
, Chicago is part of Illinois) should not pay for anything that helps the City bring the Olympics to our State.
