Peter Smalley, Technical Analyst
In his role as Technical Analyst, Peter conducts research and quantitative analysis on greenhouse gas emissions, sustainability initiatives, and clean-technology for client projects. Peter brings his experience to Delphi from several different sectors including oil and gas, renewable energy, transportation, and government. He has worked in a variety of capacities at these organizations including sustainability, industry stewardship and regulatory reporting, health and safety inspections, policy analysis, and clean-technology research. Peter has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo where he was in the Environment and Business program specializing in Economics and Environmental Assessment.

Peter specializes in sustainability reporting, strategy development and deployment, greenhouse gas emission quantification, North American environmental policy analysis and clean tech market research. Peter is responsible for developing, managing, and executing client projects in Western Canada. He is the lead on Delphi's Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) practice in Western Canada, and has successfully increased the CDP disclosure scores of fully-integrated oil and gas companies. Peter has completed complex environmental inventory projects with food industry and telecommunications clients, involving the collection of energy use data for thousands of sites across Canada. His experience also includes developing clean tech market transformation case studies and quantifying environmental benefits from emerging technologies. Prior to joining Delphi, Peter worked in a variety of capacities - such as sustainability strategy deployment, industry stewardship and regulatory reporting, health and safety inspections, policy analysis, and clean tech research - across a number of different sectors, including oil and gas, renewable energy, and transportation. Peter has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo in the Environment and Business program specializing in Economics and Environmental Assessment.
