Dr. Peter Silverman
Dr. Silverman is an internationally recognized, award-winning professional journalist since 1974. He started at Global TV as a reporter covering a variety of beats: labor, Queen's Park, military and terrorism. He was also the host writer for Code 10-78, a half hour reconstruction of unsolved crimes. Dr. Silverman has also had experience as an entrepreneur, and was at one time the deputy director of the Institute of Race Relations, London. In 2008, he was appointed to the Order of Ontario.

Dr. Peter Silverman
Chair A professional journalist since 1974, Peter is internationally recognized, and a winner of 7 awards. He started at Global TV as a reporter covering a variety of beats: labor, Queen's Park, military and terrorism. He was also the host writer for Code 10-78, a half hour reconstruction of unsolved crimes. In 1981, Peter left Global to join the "CityNews" business segment CityBiz and became Ombudsman "Silverman Helps", in 1989. He is the author of Who Speaks for the Children Commemorating the International Year of the Child and wrote Voices of a Lost Generation, focusing on child welfare. Peter was also editor of Angola Story of a Revolt and one time editor of the Journal Race London England. Prior to being a journalist, Peter was a senior advertising executive in London, England and Toronto. He has also had experience as an entrepreneur, and was at one time the deputy director of the Institute of Race Relations, London. In 2008, he was appointed to the Order of Ontario.
