Through a very frightening experience with his
father's sudden double heart attack, Peter's focus changed dramatically and his
own personal faith conversion spurned him on to leave the lucrative, successful farming enterprise he
had mastered, and began working within church development and pastoring.
new value system led him to actively become involved in outreach and relief work, which led him to the fateful experience in 1984 where Peter
was left at a refugee camp for 10 days with no food and very little water.
Seeing the extreme hunger, poverty and death that was ever present within the hundreds of people in the Mozambican 'food distribution' camp, Peter
dedicated the rest of his
life to alleviate the suffering of the poor.
Using his business skills, his professional background and his passion to make a difference, Peter founded Joint Aid Management.
