...Dr. Peter PfefferliForensic Document ExaminerDr. Pfefferli commenced his forensic career at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, from where he received a PhD in Forensic Science in 1984.
Since then he
has been active as an expert in Forensic Document Examination.In 1986 he became the Director of the Police Forensic Science Laboratory in Zurich, which has the only full service Questioned Document Laboratory in Switzerland.He joined Forensic Document Examiners Pty.
Ltd. in July 2006.He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, USA.Peter
has held a number of key positions within the international European forensic community:
Chairman of the Gesellschaft für Forensische Schriftuntersuchung (GFS), the European Society of Handwriting Experts; President of the European Conferences for Police
and Government Document Experts; Chairman and member of the organizing committee of the triennial INTERPOL Forensic Science Symposium, including duties as coordinator and reviewer of the evidence categories Handwriting and Questioned Documents; and Founding Member, Board Member and Chairman of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes
(ENFSI) Dr. Pfefferli was awarded a Diploma in Document Examination from the Forensic Science Society, UK.He is a corresponding member of the American Society of Questioned Document Examiners (ASQDE) and a member of the International Association for Identification (IAI) as well as the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors (ASCLD).Peter is a lecturer on forensic science and has presented many papers at international forensic meetings.He
has also published a large number of articles on the various aspects of modern forensic science, especially in the area of questioned documents.Today his
forensic focus is on quality assurance and best practice in questioned document and handwriting examination.Dr. Pfefferli
is responsible for the examination of German, French and English handwritings and identity documents undertaken by Forensic Document Examiners Pty
