They were accompanied by CCMI member Peter Laylin, who also holds the site close to his heart as one of the first places he took his wife, Sara.
And as an added treat, Laylin
even arranged for the two men to meet Mike Halady, a fifth-generation Sealth grandson, at the South Kitsap workshop where he
is carving a 25-foot totem pole that will be erected at the end of April in West Seattle's Belvedere Viewpoint Park.
