Peter Larson
Peter Larson, a retired school teacher, administrator and college professor has lived in Homer since 1985. He has served on many nonprofit boards including The Kachemak Bay Campus of the Kenai College, The Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies and The Homer-Kachemak Bay Rotary Club. The knowledge he gained by his many hours of volunteering his time and expertise for local nonprofits he will bring to The Hospice Board. He sees Hospice of Homer a vital organization for the health of the community.

Getting to know the Hospice of Homer Board: Peter Larson
Peter Larson, Hospice of Homer board president is originally from North Dakota, Peter, with his wife, Flo, first resided on the Kenai Peninsula in 1969. In 1985 they moved to Homer, where Peter became principal of Homer Middle School.
Now president of the Hospice of Homer board of directors, Peter brings years of sitting on various boards to the position. Guided to the board by Gary Thomas, Peter is a staunch believer in giving back to the community.
As a final note, Peter adds, "I think all of us who are involved with Hospice, at whatever level, believe we ought to 'love thy neighbor.'"
