Prior to this he
spent more than 20 years following and writing about the activities of the global financial markets, initially as an economic journalist and then as a capital markets analyst and independent consultant to suppliers of information products.
These experiences now combine to focus on the use of technology in global financial services.

For over 15 years he was a financial journalist in a variety of global business centers, included time as an economic correspondent for real-time news services such as Reuters and AFX, as well as 4 years as Investment Editor of The Star newspaper in South Africa.
He later spent several years in senior positions delivering and managing research and analytic services that covered the capital markets and asset management for divisions of Standard & Poorâ€™s and Thomson Financial.
