"It's especially true of the jobs that require less training," Eastman said.
Phlebotomy certification, for example, requires 50 hours of classroom training.
"People know that health care jobs are in demand and they want to get back to work quickly, but now there is an oversupply in some areas."
Other positions where supply may be outstripping demand include pharmacy technicians and certified nursing assistants, Eastman said.
Demand remains stronger for careers that require more education, such as registered nurses, but Eastman said employers must carefully balance how many workers with limited experience they can bring on.
"We like to hire new nurses, but we can only hire just so many because they require additional training and mentoring," Eastman said.
