Peter Batty - President

Peter Batty has lived in Key West for more than 25 years. After finishing high school in Key West, Peter went on to obtain a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy from Florida International University and a Master in Political Science from Florida State University. After completing his education, Peter remained in the north Florida area where, as President of the Woodward Group, he practiced as a Lobbyist and a political Consultant. After returning to Key West in 2003, Peter began a successful career in Commercial and Residential Real Estate, being named Rookie of the Year in 2003 and opening his own real estate firm in 2004. In 2005, Peter began venturing more into the development side of real estate, where he was Project Manager and Director of Sales for a $110 Million development in the Lower Keys. After completing that project, Peter opened ICAMCO, Inc., and ICAMCO Real Estate, Inc., where he is President/CEO. Peter is also the President of Sunrise Suites Resort Key West, Inc. Peter is deeply committed to involvement in the community. He is currently Chairman of the Historical Architectural Review Commission; a member of Rotary International, and is on the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys.

Vice Chairman Peter Batty has served on the Utility Board since 2005. He is a Florida Licensed Real Estate Broker and has lived in the Florida Keys since 1989. On November 18, 2000, he was ordained as a Permanent Deacon to the Archdiocese of Miami. Mr. Batty received his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University and his Masters degree from St. Thomas University. Mr. Batty is a board member of the Star of the Sea Foundation and former member of the Florida Keys Community College Board and former Vice President of the Wesley House Family Services Board of Directors. Mr. Batty was born in Salisbury, England, and immigrated to the United States in 1955. He and his wife Ellen have raised four children in the Florida Keys.

Peter is delighted to be the Broker and President of the Florida Keys only fully commercial Real Estate Brokerage firm.
