Pedro Padierna is president of PepsiCo Mexico, which is one of the biggest food companies in the region, with over $4 billion dollar sales.
Pedro Padierna was appointed President of PepsiCo Mexico in August 2011 and will act as the main contact of the company before government and strategic allies.
He also leads PepsiCo's Global Potato Center of Excellence.Padierna is head of PepsiCo Mexico's Council, created along with his new appointment, which is formed by the leaders of the food and beverage businesses.
Padierna began his PepsiCo career in 1987 at Sabritas as Marketing and Research & Development VP, and has held several positions since, including Commercial VP Mexico National Sales VP; and most recently President of Sabritas/CariCam, PepsiCo Americas Foods.
In his years of service with the company, Padierna has served as a PepsiCo ambassador in Mexico, developing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government, customers, media and nongovernmental organizations.
He is also the president and founder of the PepsiCo Foundation in Mexico.Before joining PepsiCo, Padierna worked for the Mexican Ministry of Tourism, Banamex (Citibank Mexico) and Procter & Gamble.
Padierna is based in Mexico City.
