"Partnering with PRIMUS is an excellent way for TIM Peru to bring its customers affordable new products and services with the highest standards of technical quality," said Pedro Aguado, Chief Executive Officer of TIM Peru.
"At the same time, we have made our national network accessible to other carriers through the PRIMUS OSP, which should generate additional revenue. We were impressed with the ease at which we could bring traffic to and from PRIMUS's VoIP network and the quality of service delivered to our customers and carrier partners."
In the Latin American market, the agreement with TIM Peru
follows the September 2002 announcement regarding the signing of an interconnection agreement between PRIMUS
and Telecom Colombia's (Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones) wholly-owned subsidiary ColTelecom Inc.In addition to the agreement to exchange VoIP traffic, Telecom Colombia also became a PRIMUS OSP partner.
