NAMED TO BOARD OF PENNSYLVANIA STATE BANK
CAMP HILL, Pa. (Jan. 16, 2001) - Paul H. Weidman, Jr.
, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Pennsylvania State Bank, has been appointed to the bank's board of directors.Weidman, named acting chief executive officer last July, has been with the bank since it was founded in 1988.
, 59, has 38 years of banking experience.His
appointment fills an unexpired term on the board.He
will be on the ballot for election to the board at the annual shareholders meeting in April. A member of the start-up team that launched Pennsylvania State Bank, he served as its executive vice president from the start.As the bank's growth created new leadership responsibilities, he took on the additional role of chief operating officer in 1995. A graduate of the Pennsylvania School of Banking at Bucknell University, Weidman completed the RMA graduate program for Commercial Lending at Darden School of Banking and Law at the University of Virginia. He began his banking career in 1962 at the Penbrook office of the Harrisburg National Bank, later Commonwealth National Bank, and as bank vice president saw it through an eventual merger with Mellon Bank.He
was with the evolving financial institution for 27 years prior to departing to help build Pennsylvania State Bank
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Colonial Park, Weidman
is active in local charitable organizations.He is past president of the Colonial Park Rotary Club and served as secretary-treasurer of Rotary International District No. 7390. He
wife Linda are residents of Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County.
