Paul F. Parmley is a Director of Mercury's digital practice, based in Sacramento.

As one of the earliest adopters of the use of social media for utilities, Paul provided strategic counsel and social media crisis management for the utility during the 2010 San Bruno pipeline accident.

Prior to PG&E, Paul was a Public Affairs Analyst at MXM Social (formerly New Media Strategies), where he provided social media and digital strategy and outreach for grassroots and national political campaigns and major media outlets.
He began his career at The White House Writers Group, a boutique consulting and speechwriting firm, founded by Reagan and Bush 41 speechwriters.
Originally from Washington, D.C, Paul graduated from Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
After nearly 5 years in San Francisco, he
now lives in Sacramento with his
fiancé, Brittany, and their dog, Griffin.
