Paul Nicholson Director of Music Paul Nicholson Paul Nicholson Director of Music Named Director of Music at Saint Clement in 2010, Paul is a distinguished Chicago accompanist, vocal coach, composer, conductor and singer. He has served both faculty and staff at Roosevelt University, Lake Forest College, Concordia University, Columbia College, and the School of Music at DePaul University. He has sung with the Chicago Symphony and Grant Park Music Festival choruses. His vocal and instrumental compositions have been recorded on the Cedille, Imaginary Road and Polygram labels, and he has appeared both at the keyboard and as a singer on Live from Studio One on WFMT. Currently he serves as accompanist to the Grant Park Music Festival chorus. Paul serves Saint Clement as principal organist and director of three choral ensembles: Schola Clementis, Seraphim, and Cantate Choir. In addition, he auditions and trains all cantors and instrumentalists. Patrick directs the Chapel Choir and assists Music Director Paul Nicholson with a myriad of tasks, including music library work and additional keyboard support in the church.

Chicago, IL - Chicago a cappellawill bring a perfect mix of holiday music to six Chicago area venues in Holidays a cappella. he acclaimed classical vocal ensemble is increasing its performance schedule for this beloved annual tradition, bringing the concert to three stunning Chicago churches and three suburban venues. Guest Music Director Paul Nicholson Highly-admired choral conductor, vocal coach, composer, accompanist and singer Paul Nicholson will prepare the ensemble for its performances of Holidays a cappella. In 2010, Mr. Nicholson was appointed Director of Music for Saint Clement Parish in Lincoln Park. He previously served on the faculty of DePaul University as Associate Conductor of the University Singers as well as principal accompanist. Paul served on the staff of the Glen Ellyn Children's Chorus and has been accompanist to the faculty of Roosevelt University, Lake Forest College, Concordia University, Columbia College, and the Chicago Studio for Professional Singing. Mr. Nicholson has conducted such prestigious groups as the William Ferris Chorale, His Majesties Clerkes, the Scholars of Cambrai, and the Schola Cantorum of St Peter's in the Loop. He has sung with the Chicago Symphony and Grant Park choruses under Leonard Slatkin, James Levine, James Conlon, Sir George Solti and Robert Shaw. His vocal and instrumental compositions have been recorded on the Cedille, Imaginary Road, and Polygram labels, and he has appeared both at the keyboard and as a singer on Live from Studio One on WFMT. Mr. Nicholson has appeared as guest keyboard artist with the Grant Park Symphony and Chorus, the Newberry Consort, Haymarket Opera Company, Apollo Chorus, and Baroque Band.
