Mr. Kennedy's practice encompasses a wide range of employment issues with a focus on unfair competition claims involving trade secrets and restrictive covenant agreements. He is co-chair of Littler's Unfair Competition and Trade Secrets Practice Group. Mr. Kennedy has drafted and negotiated various agreements including employment, confidentiality and proprietary rights agreements and has written and spoken extensively on issues relating to protection of trade secrets and employee theft of proprietary information.
His practice also includes litigating discrimination claims based on sex, race, ethnic origin, age, disability and pregnancy, with emphasis on defending sexual harassment claims based on hostile work environments. He also has extensive experience litigating employment torts including defamation and tortious interference claims. He regularly counsels employers on federal and state employment laws and provides training on a variety of workplace topics.
Prior to joining Littler, Mr. Kennedy was a partner with a large international law firm, practicing in the areas of labor and employment as well as intellectual property. Mr. Kennedy has extensive trial experience, conducting numerous jury and non-jury trials.
