has been involved with the mechanical construction and contract-ing business for forty years.Early industry experience was in the Detroit sales office of a multinational Fortune 500 manu-facturer of HVAC and refrigeration equipment where he was branch manager of specification and engineering sales.His construction background includes positions of estimator, project manager and vice-president during ten years with an industrial piping and mechanical contractor.
Duties included daily involvement with the man-agement, estimating, purchasing and field operations. Paul
has been providing independent cost estimating services for architects, engi-neers, contractors, owners, and other professionals since 1978.Clients include construction management, architectural and engineering firms, and mechanical and industrial piping contractors.In addition to cost estimating, his
services include reviewing, recon-ciling and negotiating contract changes involving mechanical contracting.He has also served as an expert witness and cost consultant in disputes and in litigation involving mechanical contractors.
Skilled in estimating HVAC, process piping and plumbing systems, Paul
is familiar with and comfortable working with process, plant, municipal and commercial work, whether new construction, renovation or rehabilitation.Specific experience includes automotive manufacturing plants and systems, industrial piping, process piping and equip-ment installations, power generation plants, pollution control, water and waste treatment plants, pharmaceutical laboratories, hospital and food processing systems, universities, schools and commercial office buildings.He
has participated in bidding or budgeting many of the major commercial and industrial projects built in the Detroit area since 1980.Paul
has utilized this range of experience to develop an extensive set of data files to use in mechanical feasibility and budget estimates, guaranteed maximum price and firm bids for mechanical work.He has a BSME from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Courses at Boston College, Wayne State University, Detroit, MI and Oakland University, Rochester, MI, have added to his education.Paul has served as an officer of the American Society of Professional Estimators, Detroit Chapter, and is certified in mechanical trades.He was a class instructor in estimating for ten years at CAMTECH, the educational arm of the Construction Association of Michigan.
