...Meteorologist Paul Deanno came back to the Delaware Valley in October, 2001 to join CBS 3's Eyewitness News team.Prior to returning home, Deanno was weekend weathercaster and environmental reporter for KENS-TV, the CBS station in San Antonio, Texas.
had been a news anchor at KREM-TV
in Spokane, Washington and a news anchor/weathercaster at KDRV-TV
in Medford, Oregon.
Weather is a passion for Deanno
who has experienced forecasting in virtually every type of climate.He
has covered floods in Oregon, snow and ice storms in Washington State, tornadoes, hurricanes and hailstorms in Texas.He
also traveled to Glacier National Park for a report on global warming, to Biloxi, Mississippi to fly with the Hurricane Hunters, and aboard the USS Enterprise aircraft carrier for a report on how the military forecasts weather.Deanno is a 1996 graduate of Syracuse University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism.He
also completed Mississippi State University's
Broadcast Meteorology program.Deanno is doubly certified in meteorology, both by the National Weather Association (NWA) and the American Meteorological Society (AMS) which awarded him its Seal of Approval in 2002.
One of Deanno's favorite aspects of his
career is speaking to children about the weather.He
has visited hundreds of schools in the Delaware Valley and around the country.Outside of work, he
enjoys yoga, running and walking his
miniature Pekingese dog, Sophia. Deanno, who was born in Philadelphia, was raised in Marlton, New Jersey.He
wife, Suzanne, now live in Philadelphia.
