Paul Danczyk
American Society for Public Administration Vice President Candidate We are writing to you in full support of Paul Danczyk, candidate for Vice President of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA). Paul has been in the trenches most recently working to enhance the quality of the member experience and has a strong understanding of the current issues facing ASPA. Paul has the leadership capacity to make significant and impact-driven changes to the organization. As the Director of Executive Education at University of Southern California's (USC) Sol Price School of Public Policy in Sacramento, Paul designs, delivers, and evaluates public-sector training programs, teaches graduate-level courses, and serves as an executive coach/mentor. A returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Paul earned a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh; MPA, University of Southern California; and BS, Pennsylvania State University. For ASPA, Paul is one of the National Council Representatives from District V and has served in other significant capacities, including President of the Sacramento Chapter and past Chair of the Chapter-Section Task Force. Having worked closely with Paul over the past several years, we are convinced that his experience and his currency in the field give him an advantage in meeting his three-fold vision as Vice President of ASPA to 1) expand its focus on public service, 2) increase member participation, and, most importantly, 3) foster collaborative growth. Join us, and other key individuals whose focus has been to solely engage student members, in electing Paul for Vice President of ASPA, including: In closing, we urge you to strongly consider voting for Paul as Vice President of ASPA. We feel that if afforded the opportunity, he will not serve as an effective leader for our organization but bridge the academic and practitioner gap that our field so deservingly needs.
