SINGAPORE, 4 May 2012 - When New Zealander Paul Cunningham joined Balestier Khalsa back in 2010, much was not known about him other than the fact that he is a 1.89m tall centreback.
All that have changed as Cunningham
is now one of the bigger names in Singapore football and there are calls for him from fans to get him naturalized and represent Singapore internationally once he
Cunningham's performances have been superb so far this year, where he
has helped Balestier to a league-best defence with just six goals conceded after ten S.League games.
In fact, Cunningham
has been playing well since the 2011 season.
Despite finishing third from bottom, he
was widely acknowledged as Balestier's best player throughout the season.
One thing is for sure though, Cunningham
has left his
mark in his
short time in Singapore already, and much of that has to be attributed to YEO's
for helping him to gain exposure.
