On December 24, 1999, Paul Cuneo
new CD, "Rest Here," an album of fifteen original lullabies. The album was inspired by the work Paul
was doing, writing lullabies on commission from parents for their children."It occurred to me one day that others might enjoy some new lullabies, simple songs to snuggle into with their children, so I began work on an album of lullabies which could reach a more universal group of listeners," says Paul
.Paul taught music and movement in a private school for four years before beginning his career as a songwriter and composer.
In that time he
realized how important contact, whether through a touch, a gaze, a word, or a song, between parents and their children is.In an effort to promote this contact, Paul
repeated at the end of the album all fifteen tracks but as piano-only versions to which parents themselves could sing the lullabies to their children.
