Sunday 26 September 2004 at 08:31 am TCUGB Instructor Paul Crompton tells us: 'readers may be interested to know that a book on the Qigong style taught there will be available later this year - 2004 - and its title is : TRUE STORIES OF QIGONG HEALING. It will contain accounts by therapists - psychoanalysts, counsellers, et al. - who trained in the qigong and used it effectively either as a separate treatment or in conjunction with their own professional methods. Also included are photographs of the founder of the style and his chief assistant showing the basic movements. No definite publishing date is available but it is hoped the book will be out before Christmas. Some of the movements are very, very simple and underline the point that in qigong it is sometimes a large number of regular repetitions of a movement/technique which produces the curative effect and not necessarily some "secret" peculiar to any given style.
