Paul Bedard isn't doing it for ...

Paul Bedard isn't doing it for the fame. He's doing it for the gators.
Bedard, a 1986 graduate of Bishop Stang who splits his time living in Westport and Florida, stars in his own show "Gator Boys" that airs on Animal Planet on Sunday nights at 9 p.m.
Bedard, 43, teams with Jimmy Riffle to make up the Gator Boys, who capture nuisance gators and return them to safety before they harm humans or are caught by trappers, who kill them and turn them into suitcases.
...
"I didn't start catching gators for a TV show," said Bedard. "I have a TV show to help catch more gators."
The Gator Boys have recently been on the Today Show and have been featured on Inside Edition. Bedard and Riffle are also scheduled to be on the Tonight Show within the week, although an exact date has not yet been determined.
...
Despite the overwhelming number of interview requests and recent television appearances for the Gator Boys, Bedard remains humble. He wants nothing to do with the spotlight.
...
I was on the phone with Bedard at 7 p.m. Sunday night while a sneak preview of Gator Boys was on Animal Planet (the premier aired Sunday at 9 p.m.). I was watching the show and asking him a few questions when he said, "Hey, you think Tebow will pull this one out, too? as he was watching the Denver Broncos/Pittsburgh Steelers NFL playoff game instead of his own show.
Bedard, who works as a lifeguard at Horseneck Beach during the summer months, says Gator Boys has filmed 10 episodes so far and isn't exactly sure what the future holds.
"It's getting a lot of positive press," he said.

Paul Bedard, Massachusetts - Triathlete competing in a double iron man competition.
...
Paul Bedard, 31, Massachusetts
...
Paul just won a world class Double Iron Man competition in Aug 99.He swam 4.8 miles, biked 224, and ran 52.4 in succession, in that order, to victory! His healthy fuel source and competitive edge remains to be PRE*POST, Mega Carbs, Carniplex, Endurosine, and Inosine. He loves our Health Bars and for joint and muscle aches swears by GDU.
...
Paul Bedard of Westport, Mass., is a serious athlete. He trains hard in order to compete as a world-class triathlete.Paul put his body to the test in a double iron-man triathalon in Virginia Beach, Va., on Aug. 29.
He competes not so much against other athletes but, Paul said, he cycles, swims and runs great distances to test his own physical and emotional endurance.Paul would rather record a good personal effort than take top spot in the grueling competition.
At 30, the six-footer ran long distances and cycled over 100 miles a week as he geared up for the Virginia Beach Double Ironman Competition.Paul began competing a dozen years ago and has been using DANIEL CHAPTER ONE Products for the past few years. He said as soon as he began taking DANIEL CHAPTER ONE products, his triathlon times were cut dramatically as his performance hit new levels.
He began the double ironman competition several years ago.In that competition, athletes must swim 4.8 miles, cycle 224 miles and run 52.4 miles.Paul said: "I never feel more comfortable than when I am in the triathlon. Some athletes get sick just thinking about the competition, but I feel at ease."
While he is in training, Paul runs and cycles around Southeastern Massachusetts. He is a lifeguard at Horseneck State Beach and is regularly seen running along the sandy shore.During the winter, he spends a couple of months in Florida where he doesn't have to fight the cold and snow.He has taken to wrestling with alligators and getting up close and personal with lemon sharks and hammerheads in the waters off the Florida Keys.
Because he swears by the great results he has experienced with DANIEL CHAPTER ONE products, Paul has convinced his training companions in Massachusetts and Florida to take the products.Paul is emphatic. He said that DANIEL CHAPTER ONE products give him boundless energy "without the crash" that many athletes experience on other products. He knows that nutrition is essential in competition and he has used Mega Carbs to keep the blood glucose levels up.He is now taking Health Blast, Endurosine andENDO24.The all-natural products he has been taking increase Adenosinetriphosphate (ATP) ~ the source of all internal energy.Endurosine increases oxygen ratios and the ENDO24 he is using will help him get his weight down in a healthy way as he prepares for the rigors of competition. He also uses Electro Carbs when he is racing and training as well as Pre*Post before and after a race.
"There is nothing like it and I have convinced a lot of people that DANIEL CHAPTER ONE is the athlete's best friend," Paul

When I was at Native America, I met Paul through there. I met Paul at a very young age. Him and I always talked about doing something, and we hit it off pretty quickly, Paul and I. We've been trying to do what we've been doing for the last seven to eight years. But we were able to finally get it going just recently.

Most of the time, which is good about working with Paul, we've been with each other for so long, we don't have to tell each other what to go do. If I go after the tail, Paul goes toward the head. It's good not having to tell your partner to do something when you're in the middle of the action. That's the best thing with Paul and I. We work with each other very, very well.
...
Paul and I, we think we're doing a really good thing rescuing the alligators. It keeps us going, not knowing what the next situation is going to hold. Like we said before, we're not against other trappers, we just do what we do, and that's going out, rescuing alligators and doing our thing.
Has it been a challenge to have the camera crew with you on these cases?
Before the film crew got to us, it was just Paul and I and a couple other guys.
