Photo: Patrick Manzo As Monster's first Chief Privacy Officer, and leader of Monster's global fraud prevention efforts, Patrick Manzo frequently reminds his teams that they wear "white hats. "Every day, we are charged with making sure that we are doing the best we can to protect our customers - employers and job seekers alike - and provide a safe, secure experience. We also spend a lot of time thinking about how to best meet job seeker expectations of privacy, while still achieving our primary goal of providing our seekers with the exposure required to help them find their next job."
The notion of mixing career and noble pursuits is not new to Patrick. His first career was as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. He attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander and was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal (twice) and the Navy Achievement Medal for meritorious performance. His military experience also informed a management philosophy focused on clearly articulating a vision for success, and developing and empowering employees to succeed.
Following his naval service, Patrick attended law school and practiced law in both a large international and small regional law firm.

Maynard, MASS., February 17 - Patrick Manzo, Senior Vice President for Fraud Prevention and Chief Privacy Officer at®, the leading job matching engine and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: MWW), joined the Federal Trade Commission at a press conference in Washington DC, today.
This press conference comes at a time when fraud should be of paramount priority to both the public and private sector," said Patrick Manzo.
Monster has long advocated for a strong public and private response to online fraud in addition to arming consumers with information and resources to enable them to avoid potentially unsafe offers. "More dialogues like the forum we are having today can help to draw consumer attention to this issue - as we firmly believe that an educated, discriminating consumer is significantly less likely to be victimized by online fraud. We also support breaking down the barriers between business and law enforcement as we believe that better information sharing practices will substantially aid prosecution of criminals engaged in online fraud. A collaborative and open approach to consumer education is also warranted," said Manzo.
Mr. Manzo is responsible for promoting consumer security by preventing fraudulent use of Monster products and protecting Monster's industry-leading resume database from unauthorized access. In this critical leadership position, he also helps Monster establish and maintain open lines of communication with local, state, and federal law enforcement organizations and intelligence-gathering agencies, leading to better detection, recovery and prevention of fraud.
