Chicago, Ill. - Patrick Maloney, 47, has been named Chief Executive Officer of West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, Ill., and Westlake Hospital, in Melrose Park, Ill., effective February 28, 2014.
An accomplished executive with more than 20 years of healthcare experience, Maloney most recently served as CEO of Hernando Health in Hernando County, Fla., an investor-owned system with two hospitals, two ambulatory surgery centers and several outpatient facilities.
Prior to Hernando, he held roles of increasing responsibilities with Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., one of the largest public healthcare systems in the nation.
He began his career in Philadelphia, Pa., working at Temple University Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, both major academic medical centers.
