Pat Colbert has been with the Eastern College Athletic Conference since 2008, including the past two years as the coordinator of operations and officiating.
In this role, he coordinates game schedules with institutions; work directly with officiating assignors and assists in the assigning process; serves as a liaison between schools and officials; and is responsible for the maintenance of the ECAC officiating website on ecac.org.
In addition, he has served as the tournament director for the 2011 ECAC Basketball Holiday Festival held in Orlando, Fla., developing a budget, schedule, game-day staff, and travel logistics for the event.
also has directed ECAC championships in Division I women's gymnastics and Division I women's bowling, handling budget and event planning directly with host schools.
also enters his
second season as the boys' soccer coach at Pope John Paul II High School
As the first coach in the history of the program, he
is charged with building a foundation for future success and developing a coaching philosophy that mirrors the school mission.
other duties include creating daily training sessions; monitoring student-athlete academic progress; developing match tactics; and coordinating fundraising and community-service activities.
is no stranger to the ECAC
having graduating from member institution Colby-Sawyer College located in New London, N.H.
He was a four-year starting midfielder who helped lead the Chargers to the program's first ECAC tournament berth ever in 2007.
won the 2005 Coaches Award and was twice named to the athletic department's academic honor roll.
also competed in track and field, earning all-New England honors with the 1600-meter relay team.
He received a bachelor of science degree in exercise and sport sciences with a concentration in sport management in 2008.

Pat had internships with the New England Patriots, New England Revolution and ECAC, working in the areas of game management, marketing and community outreach.
Pat, who resides in West Yarmouth, is pursuing a master's degree in sports leadership from Northeastern University.
