/> Patricia Ramgoolam, principal of Naparima Girls' High School, is brimming with excitement, chatting non-stop about 'the event' as though it were the single and most important occurrence in the world. And it is. For Ramgoolam and every single teacher and alumnus of the school going back to the year 1912. For Ramgoolam, this moment represents the pinnacle of her career … a highpoint, which comes after 37 years' service as a teacher and administrator. She checks the school's website, which was recently launched, and glanced briefly at a commemorative book the school is preparing to launch in the coming months. "We just want to celebrate in every way possible, to highlight the growth of this school that has really been a nurturing point for so many daughters of San Fernando and environs, and which has churned out many leading ladies who have impacted on different areas of society in 100 years," she said. In the meantime, Ramgoolam is calling on all past students to join in the planning process. "We have so many things planned, and time is really drawing near, we really need the help," she said.

Naparima Girls' High School principal Patricia Ramgoolam said she was saddened by the news.
"The school, the board, the church, teachers and all of Naparima Girls' are sad right now. It is like losing a member of our family. We have no answers because she was like any other student here," she said. Ramgoolam said the teenager participated in piano, tennis, life-saving and the President's Award team. This is a challenging time for all of us and I want to extend condolences to the family," Ramgoolam said.

Beharry wrote chemistry, physics, communications studies and pure mathematics in the May examinations. The results were released on Thursday afternoon. "She passed all of her subjects, so I cannot understand what happened. And I do not want to reveal her results, as this is already a distressing time for the family. This is a challenging time for all of us and I want to extend condolences to the family," Ramgoolam said. Investigators said, however, Beharry was not satisfied with her examination results. San Fernando police are continuing investigations. (Express)
