Patricia Misutka Patricia Misutka (MBA), Senior Advisor is working towards her PhD Candidacy at the University of Alberta, School of Business in the department of Strategic Management and Organizations. Her doctoral research focuses on the intersection between global best practices and local communities, specifically looking at the efforts of cities who seek to adopt and adapt progressive waste management practices. Patricia also researches and has published in the area of sustainability measurement practices as well as stakeholder management practices in Alberta's Oil Sands and the Northern Gateway Pipeline. Patricia specializes in projects in the area of stakeholder management and municipal and environmental policy. Prior to working with Canadian Strategy Group, Patricia was Chief of Staff to Edmonton's Mayor from his election in 2004 through three successful terms. In addition to managing the political and intergovernmental affairs of the Mayor's Office, she has also led key policy and corporate initiatives including: regional governance reform, city centre redevelopment and green city initiatives. She has been a project lead on the City's new efforts to commercialize its waste management expertise through a new wholly-owned City subsidiary, Waste RE-Solutions. Prior to her current position, Patricia has worked extensively in corporate communications and government relations consulting in Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia. She received her Masters of Business Administration Degree (with Honours) and studied Honours History at the University of Alberta.
