Commander Patricia L. Beckman
Commander Patricia L. "Trish" Beckman, retired from the U.S. Navy on 01 January 1999 following 28 years of service.Since retirement, she has supported F/A-18 flight test at China Lake, California, and B-52H and B-1B flight test at Edwards Air Force Base, California.She is currently employed as a Flight Test Navigator, Systems Operator, and Flight Dispatcher by Boeing Commercial Airplane Group, Seattle, WA. During her Navy career, she accumulated more than 3300 hours in 66 aircraft types, graduated from the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School and later became an instructor there.
Trish holds a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from North Carolina State University and a M.S. degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School.She has had the opportunity to be the first woman trained and qualified as a flight crewmember in the F-15E, and is the first American woman to be qualified as a flight crewmember in the F/A-18.
Trish is a founding Board member of Women in Aviation, International, and serves on the Board and as Chair of the WAI Pioneer Hall of Fame.She is also currently President of Women Military Aviators, Inc.

Commander Patricia L. Beckman, USN (Ret.), Echota Cherokee, is a Past President of Women Military Aviators, Inc. (WMA), a founding board member of Women in Aviation, International (WAI), and a founding board member of the Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation (SAAHF). Trish spent over 28 years on active duty in the Navy. Besides being a graduate of the US Naval Test Pilot School, Trish also instructed there. She has a BS in Aerospace Engineering (North Carolina State University), an MS in Aeronautical Engineering (Naval Postgraduate School), and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA, Webster University).

Trish Beckman Trish Beckman retired from the United States Navy after serving 28 years. She is the first woman to qualify as a crewmember in the F-15E program and the first American woman to qualify as a crewmember in the F.A-18D. As a Naval Flight Officer, she flew in 67 types of aircraft. She helped influence the United States Senate to repeal combat exclusion laws and change executive branch policy, allowing women to fly aircraft engaged in combat missions. Currently, Beckman flies for Boeing Commercial Airplanes Group in Seattle and has more than 5,000 flight hours in 71 total aircraft types. Beckman is a founding board member and current board member of Women in Aviation, International.
