extensive experience in reporting and covering weather is also utilized during the week for live reports and forecasting.
Before coming here, Pati
spent two and a half years as a staff meteorologist at WTVD-TV
(ABC owned and operated) in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.Her
first few months on the job were spent covering Hurricane Irene and a major snow storm that hit the Carolinas that year.Throughout that storm season, Pati
was seen by millions of people around the nation reporting live via Satellite on the Weather Channel.Prior to her work in Raleigh, Pati spent three years as the Weekend Weather Anchor at WGAL-TV (NBC) in Harrisburg-York-Lancaster-Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
During that time she
also provided weather reports for Newschannel 8
in Springfield, Virginia.Before that, Pati worked as the Morning Weather Anchor at WOI-TV (ABC) in Des Moines, Iowa.Pati Darak graduated from Morton College in Cicero, Illinois, with an Associate of Arts degree.She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois.Pati
took meteorology courses through the University of Oregon
, and went on to complete her
meteorological studies through the Mississippi State Broadcast Meteorology program.She
