So much so that our past Chairman, Pat Moriarty soon exhibited his bog snorkelling skills by disappearing into a deep bog hole in an instant, right up to his hips.
Undaunted, he, and the rest of us, thrashed on, being compensated all the while by the ever changing views that the hills and fine weather bestowed on us. Pat Moriarty led the “A†group from The Laka car park at the base of Seefin over that rise and on to the Black Ditch and Carron before turning for home via Mountrussell and Blackrock. Those taking part do so at their own risk. Participants are advised to be properly prepared for their chosen Ramble, especially Grade A Ramblers. The decision and authority of the Ramble Leader is final and is to be accepted by the participants. Saturday 17th October: A) Ramble Registration at 10am in Deebert House Hotel Bus transfer to starting point in Kilfinane. Walk duration approximately 4 to 5 hours Guide leader: Pat Moriarty Description: A leisurely and exciting walk, starting in Kilfinane on to Ballyriggan and then on to Slievereagh.
