Despite some unseasonal weather and against an uncertain economic backdrop, the Hillhead 2012 Quarry Exhibition provided an excellent opportunity for Parker Plant
to introduce new products and showcase new features on existing models.
The organisers have confirmed overall attendance increased by over 10% since the last show and this is borne out by the fact that Parker Plant
registered a significant increase in both foreign and domestic visitors, particularly on the second day.
Seen for the first time on the Parker stand were a new JR1165 jaw crusher on tracks, a tracked GC1200 cone crusher, an SR165 scalping screen on tracks and two new concrete batch plants.

'RockSledger' jaw crusher has been introduced specifically to service the demolition and recycling industry, with many important new features designed to increase the continuous flow of material through the crusher in order to reduce stoppages and downtime.
With increasing demand for concrete in many world markets, Parker Plant
has extended their existing range of concrete plants with two new models.
Both are designed to offer increased mobility and ease of transport.
The ConStar 750 is a 30m3/h capacity plant which can be transported or stored between contracts in a single 40ft container.
However, the larger, fully mobile ConStar 1500 with output up to 50m3/h attracted the lion's share of interest as a single semi-trailer, towable unit complete with 35m3 of on-board cement storage.
Many visitors expressed satisfaction with this machine and were impressed by the use of a TEKA brand pan mixer, its ease of operation, the overall accessibility for maintenance, not to mention the speed with which the plant can be relocated from one site to another.
All things being considered, not least the weather, the show was a huge success for Parker Plant
The Hillhead Quarry Exhibition has always been an excellent venue to hear the views of likeminded and industry dedicated people.
We look forward to 2014.
