I worked alongside Pam Harris more than 15 years ago, and was impressed by her gifts of compassion, intelligence and perspective. When she asked me to join the board of CVC, I enthusiastically stepped forward. The CVC family members are passionate, dedicated people who are committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for the patients they serve. Pam has done an incredible job building a remarkable and caring organization that has helped ease the burden so many of you in our patient community face living with chronic illness. Thanks to her groundwork, CVC is poised for even greater success as it investigates its capacity to expand services, build new partnerships and increase its impact. Pam Harris and Greg Smiley It is that ethos of concern and commitment that excites me to work even more closely with this team, and that continues to motivate me as I join CVC in this new chapter, first alongside Pam in a period of training and transition, beginning May 1, before fully taking the reins Sept. 1. All that CVC is today started with the hard work, sweat and heart Pam Harris has put into this organization. Pam is a true hero and I am humbled to call her a great friend.
