Following her career in mortgage banking and finance, Pamela Hartwell embarked on a life of community service which continues today.
Former corporate positions include: Vice president/ unit manager for San Diego Trust & Savings Bank, and vice president/ regional manager for Beverly Hills Securities Company and Ralph C. Sutro Co. Pamela's education includes a B. A. from the University of California, San Diego (Visual Arts). Since 1994, Pamela has served our community through various non-profit boards and committees. Currently, she is a member of the advisory board at the San Diego Art Institute, trustee of the Committee of One Hundred, and director of the San Diego Youth Symphony, all located in Balboa Park. Other beneficiaries of Pamela's current volunteer activities include: San Diego Museum of Art, San Diego Natural History Museum, Mingei International Museum, San Diego Zoo, Friends of Balboa Park, and Balboa Park 2015 Curatorial/ Public Art Task Force. Pamela has researched, authored, and published several articles relative to biographical histories of special people - all who have made significant contributions to our community, and institutions - which are part of our city's heritage.
