Among the few sites still closed are the Black Mesa portion of the Agua Fria National Monument, wildlife refuges along the lower Colorado River, and portions of the Tonto National Forest affected by the Edge, Cave Creek and Bart fires, Bureau of Land Management officer Pam McAlpin said Friday.
"Even though we are in the monsoon season, there are still areas that remain dry and everyone is urged to be careful with campfires and smoking materials," McAlpin said.
