Oryan Shawn Soles, wanted for the attempted first-degree murder of Christopher Dean Davis, was captured Friday in Nashville. Davis remains hospitalized at UT hospital from injuries incurred from being beaten, reportedly by Soles. Anderson County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Mark Lucas said Nashville Metropolitan police arrested Soles after Sheriff's Office investigators obtained information about his whereabouts. Soles was taken into custody without incident, Lucas said.

The public's help is being sought in locating the alleged assailant -- 27-year-old Oryan Shawn Soles. Chief Deputy Mark Lucas said other law enforcement agencies have been notified to be on the lookout for Soles. "We've been searching for (Soles) since the incident," Lucas said, "but have been unable to locate him." Soles served a seven-year prison sentence stemming from an aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery in Clinton. His prison sentence ended in 2007. He has used addresses in both Anderson and Knox counties as his residence.

Oryan S. Soles, 27, 7410 Dean Hill Drive, Knoxville, was charged with possession of Schedule II drugs (crack cocaine) for sale, and Amari Durrell Beal, 21, 2513 Woodbine St., Knoxville, was charged with simple possession of Schedule VI drugs (marijuana). Police reports said Soles was taken to the Anderson County jail shortly after the 12:23 p.m. May 29 traffic stop, and Beal was released at the scene on a misdemeanor citation. Reports said Officer Chris Parkhill saw the 2003 Cadillac driven by Soles leave Utica Circle and then fail to stop at the stop sign before turning onto Tulsa Road. Parkhill then noticed neither the driver, Soles, and his passenger, Beal, was wearing a seat belt. During the search of Soles, Officers found four grams of crack cocaine and a total of $624 in cash in his pockets. They found three grams of marijuana in Beal's shoe and $1,165 in cash in his back pocket, reports said.
